But what is trust in the context of friendship? Simply put, it’s the belief that your friend has your best interests at heart and will act in a way that is honest, reliable, and considerate of you. It’s the confidence you have in your friend’s character and the assurance that they will be there for you when you need them.

Trust is important in friendships because it allows us to be vulnerable with one another. • Be there for each other: True friends are there for each other, no matter what. Be there for your friends when they need you, whether it’s to lend an ear, offer support, or just be a shoulder to cry on.
